Description

The Electrical Apprentice position in the Western Cape involves assisting the electrical team in addressing incidents, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring proper installation and testing of electrical installations and control systems. The role requires the ability to learn independently, work independently, and follow health and safety protocols. Experience in an electrical environment is required, and the position is market-related and requires a 6-7-9 month commitment.

Responsibilities

• Planning and preparation process for the wiring, connection, testing, inspecting, commissioning, and maintaining of electrical installations and control systems
• Plan and prepare for electrical installations and control systems under the direct supervision of a qualified person
• Undertake all activities without assistance, but under supervision, to plan and prepare for electrical installations
• Observe and assist a qualified electrician in the processes of installation, wiring and connection of electrical equipment and control systems
• Install, wire, and connect electrical equipment and control systems under the direct supervision of a qualified electrician
• Undertake all activities without assistance, but under supervision, to install, wire and connect electrical equipment and control systems

Qualifications

• Grade 12
• NQF Level 4 with Maths & Science or a technical certificate
• 3-6 months in an electrical environment
